G3NGD's 12Volt Stabilized Power Supply Unit
          incorporating Short Circuit Protection.

In the early 1980's I decided to build a Power Supply Unit to power my Two Metre Transceiver.
I required a Stabilized Power Unit, providing a Variable 12 Volt d.c. supply.
(See alternative output Voltage adjustment circuit below).
I also required the circuit to incorporate 'Short Circuit Protection'.

Currently, the unit is used to supply power to my 'Chatterbox Transmitter and Receiver'.

The Power Transistors are mounted on a large 'Heatsink'.    The Large Capacitor is required  in order to pass 12A of ripple.

Extra turns of copper wire were wound on the Transformer Secondary, to increase the output voltage to 18V ~ 50Hz.
